A selection of images from my trip to Abruzzo

My first trip to Abruzzo and Gran Sasso area of Italy was in fairness as close to perfection as it could get. Great company, great locations, friendly hosts and amazing food and wine but the light and colours during those few days was life changing.

“Stand Tall”

This one remaining wall is on its own, standing there alone and around. The rest of the castle is behind me and is reasonably intact, this section though is mostly gone. Sunset at the castle was beautiful with such gentle colours

“A first night gift”

My first night in Abruzzo and this was my welcome!

“Unbelievable Colours”

This evening was one that I will never forget, colour, 360 degrees of compositions and shared with friends and superb photographers.

“Before the colour”

While exploring a new location a few hours before sunset this scene was one of my favourites, along with a wider scene that worked well later on and turned out to be one of my favourite captures and moments from a memorable trip. This image is above and the difference colour in the sky and scene is incredible to see.
